The Outspan Inn is situated in Port St Johns on the beautiful Wild Coast, at a prime location on the mouth of the Umzimvubu River. A short walk across the lawns takes you straight down to First (our!) Beach, and everything else in Port St Johns, from scenic walks to restaurants, banks and shops, is also on our doorstep. We have ten well appointed en-suite Bed and Breakfast rooms and four self catering units. All rooms and units are fully equipped and serviced by our cleaning staff. All our rooms are sea facing, but because we are environmentally aware & bird friendly, the swathe of coastal bush between the lawns and the beach is left intact for the birds (120 species recorded at Outspan Inn). The Port St Johns area is an ideal venue for experiencing the Sardine Run, bird watching, fishing, and any outdoor lovers will have more than enough activities to keep them occupied, including guided tours to the nearby cultural Pondo villages, whale and dolphin watching, off-shore boating and fishing trips, kayaking and hiking trails. Port St Johns also has a well maintained 9 hole Golf Course, which welcomes non members. The Wild Coast, with its unspoiled beaches, awesome waterfalls, lushly forested landscapes and cultural diversity is one of the world's most spectacular tourist destinations.
